Education: BSW from Christopher Newport University; Masters in Clinical Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University

Professional Specialties: Intersection of Trauma and Mental Health Within the Child Welfare System, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma-related Disorders, and Substance Use

Kendra Bush serves as both a Telehealth Outpatient Therapist and an Independent Living Site Supervisor, bringing a unique blend of clinical expertise and hands-on life skills support to the individuals she serves. Her professional experience spans child welfare, substance use treatment, and mental health services, providing her with a strong foundation in trauma-informed, strengths-based care. Through these roles, she has developed the knowledge and skills to support individuals facing a wide range of life challenges while fostering resilience, independence, and personal growth.

Kendra is especially passionate about supporting young adults as they navigate the transition into adulthood. Through this work, she is committed to empowering individuals to build confidence, develop independence, and achieve their personal goals through compassionate guidance and meaningful relationships. Whether supporting clients through telehealth counseling or mentoring young adults in the Independent Living Program, she strives to help each person become the best version of themselves. Additionally, she utilizes a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to help individuals develop healthy coping skills, overcome barriers, and achieve the life they envision for themselves.

Outside of work, Kendra enjoys staying active by working out, spending time with friends and family, and exploring the Richmond community. She finds great fulfillment in helping individuals discover their strengths and create the future they envision for themselves.

  • Self-Pay Rate:
    First Appointment (Comprehensive Needs Assessment) – $200.00
    Self Pay Rate (Subsequent Sessions) – $170.00

Impact Living Services’ Counseling Program provides tailored therapeutic support to individuals and families in need of mental health services. The program offers flexible, community-based care designed to address various emotional, behavioral, and social challenges. Licensed therapists and skilled interns work closely with clients to create personalized treatment plans, using evidence-based therapies to help them build coping strategies and foster emotional well-being. By offering services in easily accessible locations like schools or homes, the program ensures that individuals receive the support they need to thrive, improving their quality of life.

Impact Living Services’ Independent Living program provides essential support for youth transitioning out of foster care into adulthood. With a focus on helping individuals build independence, the program offers a variety of resources, including housing, education, and employment assistance. Additionally, participants receive life skills training in areas like financial literacy and time management, all while being empowered to thrive. By offering comprehensive guidance and support, Impact Living Services ensures these young adults have the tools they need to succeed. Through this program, they foster independence, confidence, and a positive path toward adulthood.
