Kathryn holds a BS in Social Work from George Mason University and an MS in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her specialties include Trauma informed parenting, parent and child attachment, and trauma-related diagnoses. With over 8 years in child welfare, Kathryn has worked in various settings and roles supporting foster parents, children, and biological parents including providing case management services, administering state grants, and ensuring children in foster care were placed with supportive and nurturing families. In her free time, she enjoys baking, cooking, bird watching and gardening. Kathryn believes in advocating for the safety and well-being of children in foster care by providing them with stability, nurturing relationships, and opportunities to flourish.
