About Adam Pavao
As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia, Adam Pavao brings decades of experience in mental health and child welfare, specializing in complex family systems and building programs that drive real outcomes.
Both a foster and adoptive parent, Adam pairs professional expertise with lived experience. He understands the realities of trauma firsthand and translates that insight into practical, effective strategies that help families and staff navigate high-pressure, real-world situations.
In addition to his work at Impact, Adam is also the owner of Impact Autism, where he continues to expand access to specialized care and strengthen service delivery models.
Adam leads with a clear, team-based approach grounded in consistency, collaboration, and accountability. He develops staff to think critically, act intentionally, and deliver care that is both trauma-informed and results-driven.
His focus is simple: build strong systems, equip people with the right tools, and create lasting change for the families and communities served.
