Counseling for Foster Care

Foster care is a deeply emotional experience—no matter your role, age, or where you are in the process. Whether you’re currently navigating the foster system, have aged out, or are a family who’s been shaped by it, your story deserves to be heard and honored. Counseling for foster care offers a safe space to process the layers—grief, growth, identity, and resilience.

For Kids Currently in Foster Care

You didn’t choose this path—but you deserve to feel safe, seen, and supported.
Being in foster care can feel confusing, overwhelming, or even scary. You might be carrying a lot—loss, change, new environments—and it’s okay to talk about all of it. Therapy can help you:

  • Process feelings of separation, anger, fear, or confusion
  • Build trust and develop healthy connections
  • Navigate transitions between homes or schools
  • Strengthen your sense of identity and self-worth
  • Learn ways to express emotions in a healthy way

You’re not alone. We’re here to listen, support, and walk with you—every step of the way.

For Kids & Families Who Have Been in Foster Care

Healing doesn’t stop when the placement ends.
Whether you’ve been reunited, adopted, or aged out, the foster care experience leaves a lasting impact. Families and youth may still be working through:

  • Relationship rebuilding or adjustment periods
  • Behavioral concerns or emotional outbursts
  • Lingering trauma or trust issues
  • Grief from past experiences
  • Questions around identity, belonging, or self-esteem

Therapy can be a space for reconnection, open conversation, and healing—for both children and their caregivers.

For Adults Who Were in Foster Care as Children

Your past shaped you—but it doesn’t define you.
Many adults who grew up in the foster system carry unresolved pain, questions, or patterns that trace back to early experiences. Counseling can help you:

  • Explore how childhood impacted your relationships and sense of self
  • Heal from abandonment, neglect, or trauma
  • Work through challenges with trust, control, or attachment
  • Break generational cycles
  • Embrace your story and build a life rooted in strength and self-compassion

You’ve survived a lot. You deserve to thrive—and to be supported in doing so.

Foster care is only one part of your story. We’re here to help you make sense of it all—and write the next chapter with clarity, confidence, and healing. Start your journey HERE.
