Everyone deserves celebration and to feel special, especially during important milestones like birthdays and holidays. Sadly, many youth aging out of foster care often go unnoticed during these moments, receiving few or no gifts during essential celebrations like birthdays or Christmas. Moments meant to be joyful and filled with love can become painful reminders of isolation for those without the support of a family. Reminding these young adults that they are valued and worthy of celebration, regardless of their circumstances, is crucial. That’s where Christmas Wish Lists make a difference!

By giving a personalized gift, you can ensure that these youth feel the warmth and care that everyone deserves during the holidays. Your gift will not only brighten their day but also remind them that they are supported and seen. Together, we can make sure that no young person ages out of foster care feeling forgotten during these special occasions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do lists include?

Wish lists typically include the following items: clothing sizes, favorite color, favorite snacks, favorite store, favorite restaurant, something the youth wants, and something the youth needs.

How much should I spend on fulfilling a list?

While every Christmas Wish List differs, most sponsors usually spend around $100-$150.

Should gifts be wrapped?

Yes, however, please ONLY wrap gifts in gift bags. The Impact Team will account for all items before giving them to the child or youth you have sponsored. Gift bags allow for quick rewrapping after accounting for the wish lists. 

Can personal notes or letters be included with the gifts?

Givers can include personal notes or letters with gifts.

Where should gifts be dropped off?

Please bring or mail the Christmas Wish List gifts and an itemized list to the Impact Office:

Christmas Wish List drop-off day is Wednesday, December 4th from 11AM-6:00PM. Please do not bring gifts before or after this window, as our storage options are limited.
