Impact’s Anger Management curriculum equips youth to better understand and effectively manage anger. Impact staff—trained in both Handle with Care’s Tension Reduction Material and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques—guide participants through this process. The program follows a practical “Learn and Apply” model and adapts easily to both group and individual counseling settings.
Throughout the program, participants move through six structured and interactive modules. After completing each module, they take a quiz or demonstrate the skills they’ve gained to reinforce their learning and stay engaged. By the end of the program, each participant will not only develop meaningful anger management strategies but also create a personalized Anger Management or Anger Expression Plan that reflects their unique needs and experiences.
Program Structure
Each module is approximately:
- 1–1.5 hours in a group setting
- 1 hour in an individual setting
Participants keep a personal binder with handouts and exercises that build on each other. Upon completion of Module 6, youth are expected to share their plan with a Trusted Adult Support.
