Casey Life Skills

Preparing for adulthood can feel overwhelming—but with the right guidance, youth can build the skills and confidence they need to thrive. The Casey Life Skills (CLS) program offers individualized support for youth ages 15–20, with flexibility to serve younger youth based on their unique needs.

Through 1-on-1 mentoring, participants receive hands-on education, skill development, and real-life modeling in the areas that matter most. CLS equips youth to make long-term plans, pursue meaningful goals, and develop the confidence to live independently.

What to Expect

The journey begins with the Casey Life Skills Assessment, a tool that identifies each youth’s strengths and areas for growth. Using this information, mentors and youth create a personalized treatment plan that guides skill-building in key areas of daily life.

Throughout the program, youth receive consistent mentorship focused on:

  • Setting a vision and goals for their future
  • Building core life skills for independence
  • Accessing local resources and support systems
  • Expanding natural supports beyond paid professionals

Focus Areas

Each youth’s plan is unique, but CLS may support growth in the following areas:

  • Daily living and self-care
  • Forming and maintaining healthy relationships
  • Study skills and work habits
  • Money management and budgeting
  • Community engagement and resource navigation
  • Online safety and digital literacy
  • Civic participation and legal understanding
  • Navigating the child welfare system

Length of Services

Most youth complete the program in 6–9 months, depending on their individual needs and treatment goals. Services can be shortened or extended to ensure youth receive the support necessary for long-term success.

Ready to Build Toward Independence?

CLS isn’t just about learning life skills—it’s about empowering youth to take control of their future. With the right mentor and a focused plan, anything is possible. Let’s start building a strong foundation—together. Start Your Journey HERE.
